How to verify you are dealing with
This page exists so that anyone can confirm, in under a minute, whether a message, a call or a website that invokes our name is really ours. Keep it at hand: it is the only source we maintain for that purpose.

Nothing you type leaves your browser: the check runs on this page, against the channels the firm publishes. It confirms the channel, never the person.

Email domains.
We write only from addresses at americalegal.law and americalegal.com.mx. Any other domain —including free providers and look-alike spellings— is not ours, whatever the signature block says.
Telephone.
Our number is (+52) 55 6385 7030. We do not close engagements or request payments through messaging apps.

Five things that, if they happen, are not us.
We never ask for transfers to personal accounts.
Fees are invoiced by the firm and paid to accounts in the name of the firm, stated in a signed engagement letter.
We never write from free email accounts.
No gmail, hotmail, outlook or similar. Not even "temporarily" or "because the corporate server is down".
We never ask for your passwords or your e.firma.
Not by email, not by phone, not through a form. Nobody at the firm needs them.
We never charge to "release" a matter.
No payment unlocks a file, speeds up an authority or removes a name from a list. Anyone who offers that is not from this firm.
We never engage without a written proposal.
Every engagement starts with a proposal signed from our domain, with scope and fees stated.
Confidentiality is a security measure, not distance.
We do not publish the identity of the people who make up the firm. It is a deliberate policy: the name of a professional, once public, becomes raw material for impersonation. Our clients and those who engage us know exactly who answers for their matter — the name travels in the proposal, signed from our institutional domain. What can be verified about the firm is public: its corporate name, tax registry, D-U-N-S® number, address and the notices published on this site.
Verify before you answer, not after.
Verifying a person or a message.
Write to info@americalegal.law with the name given to you and a copy of the message, including its full headers if you have them. We confirm or deny it in writing.
Reporting an impersonation.
Use the whistleblowing channel on this site. Evidence —screenshots, addresses, telephone numbers, account details— is what allows us to act before the authorities and the platforms.
Checking the sender yourself.
Look at the full address, not the display name: an impersonation usually changes one character or adds a word to the domain. If it does not end exactly in americalegal.law or americalegal.com.mx, it is not us.
Did you receive something that invokes our name?
Send it to us before acting on it. Confirming whether a communication is ours takes us minutes and costs you nothing.
